Enjoy East StaffsIn 2003 Cyber Media was commissioned by the East Staffordshire Borough Council to develop two new Web sites for the council: a Tourism Site and an Inward Investment Site.
The Enjoy East Staffs Tourism Site was envisaged to be the most comprehensive tourism information point in the area containing a wealth of information on places to stay, things to do, places to eat plus much more. To provide the required functionality a searchable, geographically aware database (i.e. search for accommodation, restaurants or attractions within an X miles radius from Y) was developed.
The site features:
- Well designed, colourful, contemporary look & feel
- Contact form
- Search engine (global and local)
- Database driven pages
- Things to do & places to visit guide
- Location maps
- Online postcards
- Compliance with the latest Web content standards and accessibility guidelines (Bobby AAA, WAI-AAA)
The Tourism Site was warmly received and has proven a valuable addition to the main East Staffordshire Borough Council Web site.
Following the completion of the Tourism and Inward Investment sites, Cyber Media was once again commissioned to perform a major redesign of the East Staffordshire Borough Council Web site.
