New Evangelical Alliance Web site launched

Monday, March 6, 2006

Founded in 1846 the Evangelical Alliance’s aim is to provide mutual strengthening and common work for Christians of different denominations and countries. Its purpose is to promote unity and truth, and represent evangelical concerns to the wider world of the Church, State and society.

Since 1846 the Evangelical Alliance has been committed to a united way of working. Now, 160 years later and with more than 7,000 churches and 750 organisations linked to the Alliance, the idea of working together has never seemed so pertinent. In fact, the idea is so crucial that they are giving it a name – Alltogether.

Along with its image and identity, the Evangelical Alliance recognised that it was time to update its website. In addition to applying the new branding it has also identified the need to introduce a content management system that would allow the Alliance to manage its site more effectively and efficiently.

Our experience and expertise in delivering mid-range content management solutions enabled us to accurately interpret EA’s requirements and offer a tailored proposal to the exact requirements of the Evangelical Alliance.

Our offer was based on a mid-range content management system – CommonSpot from PaperThin – and included a full range of associated services such as design, training and support, integration with existing database applications and managed hosting.

Basing our offer on an award winning off-the-shelf solution enabled us to offer outstanding value and a short deployment timescale; whilst delivering a fully featured, robust and flexible product.

The new website is aesthetically appealing, usable and accessible. It integrates with a number of databases offering enhanced functionality, is easy to update and maintain and provides a solid and flexible platform for further development.

We believe that the most effective business approach is forming long-term collaborative relationships with our clients, and always strive to achieve this. It seems as if we touched a chord with our approach, so much so as to elicit comments like the following:

“Thank you so much for your willingness, friendliness and professionalism; it’s a real pleasure to work with you. We’re pleased with our new site; your contribution has been indispensable.”

Carl Harding, Web Co-ordinator, Evangelical Alliance
