Cyber Media have recently completed the development of an electronic catalogue for GKN Wheels, part of the GKN OffHighway Systems division of GKN. With annual sales in excess of 200 million dollars, GKN Wheels is one of the world's leading manufacturers of wheels for any kind of light or heavy agricultural, construction and off-highway machinery in any part of the world.
The company’s entire product range, manufactured in various plants world wide, is contained within a single catalogue. The catalogue is based on a searchable database which contains the details of hundreds of products and sits behind an attractive user interface. The user can either select the vehicle type from the user interface and see the range of wheels that are compatible with the choice, or use the advanced search facility and search for wheels by diameter, width and/or centrehole diameter.
The electronic catalogue was integrated with the company’s Web site and launched at an International Sales Conference in January 2005.
