Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership select CommonSpot
Monday, May 22, 2006
The Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership (GMCP) has just commissioned Cyber Media for the design and development of a new Web site that will support the Connexions service for young people in the Greater Merseyside area.
Cyber Media’s solution, based on CommonSpot Content Server, was chosen after a thorough evaluation of several offers. Now in use by several Connexions partnerships, CommonSpot is a tried and tested solution that provides the user with a very flexible framework for managing and delivering a web presence. It is a product with a long history of continuous development, which yields an application that provides a sustainable solution that will keep pace with web developments over the years.
The project is to design and develop the next generation of the GMCP Web site. This is seen to be a key marketing and information providing tool and will cater for and appeal to the identified audiences whilst satisfying both usability and disability needs.
It will also provide an easy to use interface for updating and editing by non IT staff so that information contained in the site is kept fresh and up to date with the minimum of effort. The interface will allow content editors to access only the areas of the site they have been authorised to use, and allow for approval of content prior to publication.

We chose Cyber Media to help us design our brand new website www.connexionslive.com because they impressed us with the ease of use of the content management system they proposed; the clarity and imagination of the design; and the helpful and friendly staff. The glowing references from other satisfied Connexions customers didn't hurt either!
