Norfolk’s 14-19 Prospectus website reaches record usage levels, and continues to improve

Having previously been praised by 14-19 Education experts as one of the best 14-19 Prospectus solutions in the country, Norfolk’s Help You Choose website continues to improve and impress. The latest statistics reveal that up to 60% of the target audience in Norfolk now use the Help You Choose website.

Originally developed from from the ground up and launched in 2006, Norfolk’s Help You Choose website is aimed at helping young people between 14 and 19 with the key career decisions they have to make at this age. It provides a host of resources to help young people make the right choices in Year 9, 10, 11 and 12.

The site has been regularly reviewed and updated, continuously improving throughout its existence. We have continued to support and collaborate with Connexions Norfolk through the changing landscape of the careers guidance sector, helping them maintain one of the best 14-19 prospectus solutions in the country.

The latest update included amendments to the Providers area to improve administration, along with several front end refinements to improve usability. Connexions Norfolk were closely involved throughout the process through the online prototyping tool we use for developing functionality and showcasing designs that enabled them to see and comment on developments online.

Young people were also involved in the development right from the start through extensive user group testing that we carried out in order to see how they interact with the site, and to gather opinions on, and ideas about, the new developments. This has been a key step for every Help You Choose development so far, and a main contributing factor to the site’s success.
