New website launched to promote the International Working Conference on Applied Industrial Symbiosis (IWCAIS 2012)

Just one week before the RIO+20 conference, IWCAIS 2012 will bring together 150 leading advocates in the field of Applied Industrial Symbiosis to discuss many of the issues to be debated at Rio+20, including eco-innovation, green growth, material scarcity, regional economic development, energy security and climate change.
To promote the IWCAIS, Birmingham based International Synergies commissioned us to design and develop a new website providing information about the event and a forum for discussion.
Developed on a tight timescale in good time before the event, the new site is based on Joomla, the very popular open source content management system which provides an easy to use interface for updating content and managing the site.
A dedicated documents section allows users to access and download general information relating to the conference as well as specific information relevant to each of the working group themes and other related content. All of these are managed through a fully integrated comprehensive document management facility that makes uploading documents to the site a breeze.
A fully integrated forum is also provided, allowing visitors to participate in discussions with delegates and other members of the community; whilst prominent buttons link to social media resources about the event.
