NDA launch new website

Monday, May 21, 2007

The new public Web site supports the NDA’s strategic goal of conveying the NDA’s strategy in a coherent and lucid manner. It follows best practice for navigation design and adheres to W3C accessibility and coding standards.

The site is built on CommonSpot Content Server, and utilises an extremely flexible template driven design. This enables editors to create pages that extend beyond mere static content. Advanced queries, targeted internal advertising and an intuitive interface design ensure visitors are never more than click away from other useful information.

Due to the amount of content on the site the NDA utilise CommonSpot’s authoring, workflow and approval features to great extent to ensure the smooth operation of the site.

A document library enables the NDA to make virtually all documentation publicly available, in line with their policy of openness and transparency. A flexible and highly useable interface to the document library has been developed fully realising the benefits of CommonSpot’s advanced Taxonomy and Metadata features. The site is also search engine friendly with simple URLs, metatags, full separation of content from presentation via CSS, etc.

Cyber Media has also worked closely with the NDA to put in place a multiple server infrastructure that delivers the range of NDA sites in a robust and dependable manner.
