Think Local launch new website

Think Local is a campaign focused on increasing trade between Southern Staffordshire businesses and creating greater awareness of the benefits of local trading. Acknowledging that their Web site needed to be significantly refined and improved in order to succeed across Southern Staffordshire, Think Local came out with an invitation to tender for the redesign and redevelopment of their former Web site in December 2005. They needed their site to be more robust, more user friendly and to have greater features and functionality.

Cyber Media won the contract on the strength and value for money of the proposed solution, and delivered a Web site that fulfilled all of Think Local’s initial requirements, and more.

In particular the site is built on top of a bespoke business directory which is a significant enhancement over the previous solution offering a much improved user interface, several new features, and advanced search options. The directory currently holds over 16000 records.

The site is maintained through a content management system that allows Think Local staff to manage the site efficiently and effectively, without compromising the site’s design. Robust workflow procedures ensure that the work of editors is approved by reviewers before published.
