Wide Angle Software launch redesigned e-commerce website

Wide Angle Software produces PC and Mac software for manipulating digital media on portable media devices such as iPods, iPhones, iPads, etc.
With their previous site showing its age, they approached us with a request for a complete redesign and modernisation in order to provide a better user experience.
We aimed for a contemporary design that would be both attractive and functional. Numerous elements are incorporated that subtly encourage and aid the visitor in accomplishing various tasks.
Product pages are colour coded for ease of reference, and highly visible buttons are used persistently for popular tasks such as download, purchase & view more information. Such elements combine overall to provide an intuitive and fulfilling user experience, fostering loyalty and encouraging customers to return.
As per modern users' expectations social media functions have been incorporated into the site to enable visitors to interact with the site and their favourite social media effortlessly. These include a twitter feed on the homepage, youtube instructional videos on product pages and follow / find / subscribe buttons on every page.
With regard to e-commerce functionality existing store technology was implemented with javascript to show local prices and discounts.
Javascript was also used as an alternative to Flash to create an interactive feature banner that showcases the features of the touchcopy software. This offers several benefits over using Flash, including a smaller size and compatibility with a lot more browsers, e.g. for iPhone, smartphones, PS3, PSP.
The end result is an attractive and usable website that looks and functions as users would expect to.

Cybermedia were asked to redesign our site from scratch. They started with a blank canvas and came up with a site that is not only appealing to look at but is easy to navigate. The new site allows our customers to browse and purchase our product range with ease. We have had many positive responses from our customers about the new site and were really very pleased with the results.
