Newham DIP is part of Newham’s extensive range of drug and alcohol services. They offer an assessment and referral service to individuals with substance misuse issues who have been arrested and are involved in the Criminal Justice System. They have a team working in the Police Stations and the Magistrates Court, and work closely with several other local drug and alcohol services.
Consequently Newham DIP required a flexible and expandable system that would be able to integrate with existing systems and cover their current and future needs.
Newham DIP were impressed by Theseus’ ease of use and comprehensive feature set. On conclusion of the procurement process Newham DIP remarked that they appreciated the fact that Theseus has grown organically based on DAT needs from within the service, and was thus able to score particularly well on technical and functional specifications. They also commented on Cyber Media’s responsiveness during the entire process.
The project included migrating data from several existing sources and an ongoing data exchange with the social care package used by Newham Council.
