Development of a new online regional innovation exchange platform for the West of England Academic Health Science Network
The West of England Academic Health Science Network needed an online innovation platform to build and strengthen regional relationships between businesses, innovators and health professionals.
We designed a quick and easy registration process so users only need to provide a name and email address to get up and running on the platform.
Once registered, businesses can easily create attractive profiles to identify their specialisms in a directory, as well as their support and collaboration requirements. They can also link their accounts to the hyvr crowdsourcing platform to access additional features.
Business profile features include logo, corporate statement, media (e.g. YouTube videos), product gallery and map to pinpoint location.
The directory itself is clearly ordered and returns key information summaries, including company logos in a listing view. Selecting any organisation in the listing takes the user to the organisation’s profile for further reading and contact methods.
The directory can be filtered by organisation type, specialism and status (e.g. seeking collaboration opportunities) and also features a regional asset map.
The West of England Academic Health Science Network uses the platform to publish new funding and business opportunities open to innovators and there’s also a news blog to keep businesses up-to-date with the latest regional and national developments.
Additionally the platform features an events publication area where businesses can explore regional networking opportunities and conferences - or submit their own events.
The Innovation Exchange is an effective online platform to increase innovator awareness and understanding of available funding initiatives and its features help businesses identify opportunities and connect with partners in the health innovation sector.
