Choose You is a forward-thinking partnership between Bedford Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire Council, and Milton Keynes City Council. Together, they are committed to helping people adopt healthier habits, improve their wellbeing, and achieve their goals to quit smoking or lose weight.
With an existing stop smoking service already in place, the councils recognised the need for a flexible, multi-service case management platform to deliver a brand-new weight management programme and seamlessly bring both services under one roof. After a competitive tender process, Theseus was selected as the best-in-class solution to meet their requirements.
The councils came to market with a clear vision of what they needed from a new platform. During the demonstration process, they set out 19 detailed use cases covering both Stop Smoking and Weight Management service delivery.

Our flexibility in the delivery of the project enabled a staged rollout for each service to ensure smooth adoption. To support this, we connected the councils with one of our existing clients already running a successful weight management programme on Theseus. This peer-to-peer exchange proved invaluable, allowing them to hear directly from service managers about best practice and real-world impact.
Throughout the journey, the councils benefited from practical guidance from our experienced implementation team, a library of ready-made dashboards aligned to each service, and access to online training resources to equip staff for the launch of the new service across Central Bedfordshire, including delivery within GP practices.
This collaborative, staged approach gave the councils confidence in the system and helped staff quickly embed Theseus into their day-to-day service delivery.
